Tara Haghi Exhibits in “Vierkwart” at Het Robson

From 13 December 2025 to 18 January 2026, Tara Haghi presents recent paintings in Vierkwart, a winter group exhibition at Het Robson, Enschede. The exhibition brings together artists working across painting, photography, and object-based practices, offering a focused snapshot of the region’s contemporary art production.

Tara’s exhibited works are part of an ongoing investigation into color, architectural fragments, and identity reconstruction. Rather than depicting specific urban sites, the paintings approach the built environment as a perceptual surface—composed of windows, facades, and structural edges that function as points of contact between memory, place, and lived experience.

Color operates as a primary structuring force in these works. Saturated and non-naturalistic palettes are used not to describe architecture, but to activate it—treating color as an autonomous language that shapes spatial and emotional reading. The city appears not as a fixed geography, but as a reconstructed field shaped by movement, displacement, and repetition.

Within the collective framework of Vierkwart, the works position painting as a site of spatial reflection rather than representation, aligning with broader contemporary approaches that reconsider urban space through perception, rhythm, and chromatic relationships.
